HUGO is nominated for 11 Academy Awards including Best Original Score. Congratulations to Howard Shore and team Hugo!

Joshua is currently the composer in residence at Turtle Bay Music School. He is working on two concert pieces that will receive their US premier on March 22 in New York City (World Premier information coming this summer). Josh is honored to accept the 2011 Dinu Ghezzo Award in Composition from New York University!
Currently, Josh is working with Howard Shore and his music team on the music for Martin Scorsese's 3D family adventure - Hugo. Starring Jude Law, Ben Kingsley, and Sacha Baron Cohen. Check out the trailer here: HUGO: Apple Trailers
As of 2012, Josh will be the Composer in Residence at Turtle Bay Music School. During his time there, Josh will be holding masterclasses, composing for various ensembles, and programming live public events.
Josh has also recently completed the original theme music for the webseries Raw Heat - directed by Sofian Khan, starring James Manzo and Michael Rasulo. Lots of exciting news!
Josh wrote an orchestral arrangement for The New York Pops' Summer Stage Gala. The concert, reviewed by The New York Times, pointed out Josh's "stand-out" arrangement as a highlight of the evening.
High Maintenance, directed by Shawn Wines, has won second place at the Student Academy Awards - held last week at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater.
Josh is currently working with Howard Shore and team, on his next major score.

Josh has recently completed scoring two comedies, Elron (dir. Sofian Khan, Capital K Pictures) and High Maintenance (dir. Shawn Wines, prod. Brigitte Liebowitz).
High Maintenance screened at the Columbia Film Festival last week and is currently in the finals for the Student Academy Awards!

Josh kicked off the new year by scoring Sofian Khan's latest documentary. As well, The Gospel According to Matthew will be screening in NYC next month at the Nuyorican Cafe on February 3.
Oh Sister, directed by Susan Hippen will be screening at Giggleshorts International Comedy Film Festival in Toronto, Magnolia Independent Film Festival, and iShorts Film Nights in Prague.
